At Orchard Equine Transport, we provide a reliable, fully insured service tailored to each individual journey. With over 20 years of equestrian experience, your horse’s safety, comfort and welfare are always our top priority.
We offer transport for:

We also offer overnight stay facilities at our Yorkshire base where required.

Pricing Guide
To help you plan your journey, we provide a clear pricing guide:
Minimum charge: £130 (within 30 mile radius)
1 horse: from £1.30 per mile
2 horses: from £1.50 per mile
Waiting time:
£20 per hour
£10 per hour for extended loading time
Emergency call-out (24/7):
Additional charges may apply (£20–£150) depending on time, weekends or bank holidays.
Booking & Payment
A £50 non-refundable deposit is required to secure all bookings.
Transport is not confirmed until the deposit has been received.
The remaining balance must be paid in advance of the journey by cleared funds.

Estimating Your Transport Cost
You can work out an estimate for your journey using postcodes before requesting a quote.
Mileage is calculated from our base:
DN6 0DY → Collection address → Delivery address → back to DN6 0DY
This means the total mileage is for the full round trip, not just A to B.
To estimate the cost:
Add up the total miles for the full journey
Multiply by the relevant rate
1 horse: £1.30 per mile
2 horses: £1.50 per mile
Minimum charge still applies.
Example:
If your total journey comes to 100 miles:
1 horse = £130
2 horses = £150
Final quotes may vary slightly depending on waiting time and individual requirements.
Our Horsebox
We operate a modern 3.5 tonne Bloomfields horsebox, built to a high standard to ensure every horse travels safely and comfortably.
Our current and future vehicles are carefully selected and maintained to provide a calm, secure and professional transport environment.
